Hi all
Today I'm eating Youtiao 油条 aka Chinese Doughnut / Chinese cruller / Fried Breadstick (it goes by so many names!), Tau Fu Fa 豆花/豆腐花 aka Douhua.
I'm not sure what's the other piece of deep fried food's name. The seller told me its name but I forgot. It has red bean paste in it. Let me know if you know its name ?
Youtiao 油条 is a strip of dough, deep fried until golden brown and is very crispy. It normally eaten at breakfast. It can be dipped into soy milk or even eaten with porridge. Although there could be other ways of eating them, I prefer to eat them on its own or with soy milk.
Tau Fu Fa 豆花/豆腐花 has a pudding-like texture and is made with tofu. Some call it soy pudding. It is normally served with sugar syrup here and I'm having my tau fu fa with black sugar syrup.
